Write Up:
Nine MOC'ers took on a 14.5 mile loop in the Northern section of Shenandoah National Park. We started with a a moderate uphill and a couple overlooks looking west. After crisscrossing Skyline Drive a couple times, we descended a bit to the Gravel Springs Hut for lunch. Jeff read an interesting log book entry from March 9th, 2006, while unfortunately one of our participants encountered a wasp in her sock. After a couple bites, the group came together and provided support for the hiker. Fortunately the bites were very minor!

After lunch, we went on the Bluff trail for a bit, and took a side trip down Big Devil's Stairs. There was a nice overhang to look down in a hollow and relax. We went back up and then looped around back up to the Skyline Drive. It's pretty amazing how fast 14.5 miles seemed to go by!

Dinner was experienced at the Main Street Mill in nearby historic Front Roy-al. The popular meal was a Grilled Cheese sandwich.
